Junior High: Grades Six through Eight
- Formal logic classes train students in the correct use of reason. Students practice reasoning skills as they debate, participate in class discussions and critique one another.
- Students complete Henle Latin One and become proficient with the ins and outs of a foreign language.
- Science classes include labs which help the students learn the scientific method and how it is essential to true science.
- Good writing includes logical organization of ideas. Children continue to practice their skills using the Excellence in Writing program.
- Instruction in typing, word processing, and computer presentations is given.
Algebra and Geometry and General Science as well as Botany are taught in junior high along with a more intensive study of history and literature. Students begin more formal speech and debate and learn better how to apply their knowledge.
Literature, history and Bible are taught using the Veritas Omnibus curriculum. In this children learn to study the Great Books.
